Hello all! Autumn is right around the corner and I couldn’t be more excited; yesterday was our very first Football Sunday, and the knowledge that the season of Halloween, Thanksgiving, more football, and too many baked goods are just a few weeks away (September 22nd is the Autumn equinox!) got me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.
Fall is still a bit of a ways off, but today I wanted to share with you some goals I’ve made for myself, plus some fun activities I have planned. Let’s get started!
(P.S, isn’t my cauldron mug so cute?? I got it from WitchyWomanWorkshop on Etsy and I’m in love with it!)
|Writing Goals For Autumn 2018|
- Participate in NaNoWriMo During November
I’ll be doing a whole NaNoWriMo prep series in October, so watch out for that!
- Finish My Horror WIP by the End of September
I’m not gonna lie, this is gonna be an extremely difficult goal to accomplish, but only because I’m being very lazy with this project. It is possible and I know I can do it, I just gotta buckle down and get it done and over with!
- Reach 150 Followers on Instagram
This isn’t a ‘writing’ goal per say, but my Instagram page is a big part of my brand (that is so weird to say…) that I’m trying to build in the bookish community!
|Autumn Bucket List 2018|
#1: Go to a Pumpkin Patch
Can you believe it’s been 2 years since I’ve gone to a pumpkin patch to pick out a jack-o-lantern? I’ve gotten into the habit of buying my pumpkins at the grocery store, but this year I’m gonna change that!
#2: Have a Fire
Note I didn’t say bonfire because that’s honestly too much work for me, but places like Wal-Mart and Target have smaller, portable fire pits that are very affordable. It seems like everyone in my neighboring area has a small bonfire with friends in their driveway on Halloween and Christmas Eve, and that seems like a wonderful tradition to me!
#3: Bake Apple Pie and Bread From Scratch
Recently I’ve been working on getting better at cooking and baking; It’s a bit of a tedious process, but I’m definitely improving! I figure there’s no better time to practice those skills than through the Fall and Winter holiday seasons!
#4: Go Hiking
Living in California, there are so many great places to go hiking! This was something I really wanted to do in the Summer, but it was just too darn hot to do anything outside but swim!
#5: Go to Disneyland
I recently mentioned in my September 2018 TBR post that I was supposed to go to Disneyland this month, but life happens, and I had adult responsibilities I had to attend to. Thankfully, my Disney trip with my sister is in the all-clear for October, and if things go according to plan, we’ll actually be there on Halloween!
So that’s it for today’s post! What are you looking forward to reading or doing this fall? Are you gonna participate in NaNoWriMo too? Let me know in the comments!
Thanks for reading,
